Tuesday, 30th March, 2010 – Today Dubai Duty Free conducted its 104th Millennium Millionaire draw which marked the first ever win by an Iranian national in the popular US$1 million promotion.
To everyone’s surprise, the winner was a nine month old baby girl, named Lilia Hadi Sadrmotekalem, whose mother Ashrafalsada Eizaddoust bought the ticket no. 4158 in Series 104 when she was traveling with her daughter to Iran on 21 February.
“I cannot believe that we have actually won. This is our third ticket in the Millennium Millionaire Promotion and winning the prize is truly amazing!” exclaimed Mrs. Eizaddoust when notified of her daughter’s win over the telephone. Mrs. Eizaddoust, a travel agent working with Gulf Travel is a resident of Dubai for 17 years.
A presentation to the Dubai World Cup Finest Surprise winner also took place at Dubai Duty Free today as Mr Ali Khador, a Dubai-based Syrian national was presented with his keys for his brand new Bentley Continental Flying Spur. Mr. Khador’s winning ticket in Series 1421 (ticket no. 0010) was drawn on Saturday, 27th March directly before the running of the US$5 million Dubai Duty Free race at Meydan Racecourse.
“A Bentley Continental is everyone’s dream car and I’m ecstatic to have finally won it being a regular participant of Dubai Duty Free’s Finest Surprise Promotion”.
Lady luck was also shining down on another winner today as Mr. Muhammad Tahin, a Pakistani national based in Karachi won a Silver Audi A8 in Series no.1423 with ticket no. 0153 in Finest Surprise Promotion.
“This is the best news I’ve ever received, it’s truly incredible!” commented Mr. Tahin on his win. He is now looking forward to visiting Dubai to receive the keys for his brand new car.
A Harley Davidson FLSTF – Fat Boy was drawn along with an Audi A8. Mr. Tamer Mohamd Hozayen, Egyptian national based in Kuwait was delighted to have won a stylish motorbike in Series 162 with ticket no. 0086.
Mr. Tamer, a General Manager of Caesar Pac Ltd is a member of a Harley Davidson Club and has been buying tickets in Finest Surprise Promotion for ten years. “I am very thrilled that I have won, this is simply amazing and I thank Dubai Duty Free for making this happen”.
The winning tickets were drawn by Colm McLoughlin, Managing Director of Dubai Duty Free, George Horan, Deputy Managing Director and Salah Tahlak, Director – Corporate Communications.
