Dubai Duty Free, one of the founding sponsors of the Dubai World Cup 2010 offered race-goers an opportunity to win a top of the range luxury car, a Bentley Continental Flying Spur.
Mr. Ali Khador, a Dubai-based Syrian national was a happy man after receiving a call from Dubai Duty Free official with the news that he just won the Bentley Continental Flying Spur. His winning ticket number 0010 in Series 1421 of the Dubai Duty Free World Cup Surprise Promotion was drawn by Colm McLoughlin, Managing Director of Dubai Duty Free before the running of the US$5 million Dubai Duty Free Group 1 race. Tickets for the luxury car, which was on display in the paddock area, were priced at Dhs500.
Mr. Khador, who works for Dubai Holding Group as store manager said: “It’s fantastic news to begin my day. And thanks to Dubai Duty Free for such a great prize!” Mr. Khador, a regular patron of Dubai Duty Free’s promotions could not wait to collect his brand new car.
The Dubai Duty Free’s Finest Surprise Promotion is on its 21st year and has awarded 1421 luxury car winners from 69 countries.
Also present at the draw were George Horan, Deputy Managing Director, Dubai Duty Free, Salah Tahlak, Director – Corporate Communications and Sinead El Sibai, Manager – Events, Advertising and Media Relations.
Dubai Duty Free’s next sports sponsorship event will be the Dubai Duty Free Stakes, a horseracing event taking place at Newbury Racecourse in the UK on 16 and 17 April.
