Dubai Duty Free is showing its support for the Emiratisation programme of the UAE by participating in the 10th annual Careers Show 2010 Exhibition. The Careers Show, which is taking place at the Dubai International Convention Centre (28-30th March 2010), is a high-caliber event that enables talented UAE Nationals in all fields to meet directly with recruiters and hiring managers from top employers.
In 2009, the Careers Show was well attended and was graced by HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and UAE Minister of Finance and Industry and by HH Sheikh Majid bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority.
During last year’s career fair, Dubai Duty Free attracted over 920 job applicants in its sales and administrative departments. Over the past few years, more than a hundred UAE Nationals have been employed as sales assistants at Dubai Duty Free. Their training and experience in the company have provided them with the opportunity to improve their skills and be part of the world’s largest airport retailer.
The Careers Show is organised by the Dubai World Trade Centre in conjunction with The National Human Resources Development and Employment Authority (TANMIA), Higher Colleges of Technology, Zayed University and UAE University.
