At the recent India-UAE Business and Social Summit for the World’s Greatest Brands 2016-17 Asia & GCC Awards, Dubai Duty Free was presented with the Retail Industry Award in the Duty Free Stores category for its exemplary achievements for the past three decades.
Organised by Asia One Magazine & United World Group Holdings LLC., the World’s Greatest Brands winners are adjudged on the basis of research across 15 industries in Asia and GCC countries conducted by United Research Services with the process being reviewed by PricewaterhouseCoopers (PWC).
Commenting on the latest award, Dubai Duty Free Executive Vice Chairman and CEO, Colm McLoughlin said: “We are pleased to receive the World’s Greatest Brands Award for Retail Industry (Duty Free Stores category), which is an endorsement of the relationship we have with our customers, our suppliers and our own employees and reflects our efforts over the last thirty three years".
Representing Dubai Duty Free at the summit and award ceremony was Nic Bruwer, Executive Vice President – Commercial.
The World’s Greatest Brands Awards is a multi-platform and cross-cultural trust and loyalty benchmark project involving Asian & Arab corporations across industries from South East Asia, South Asia & GCC, which are evaluated based upon growth, quality of products, management’s long-term vision and strategies, innovativeness in responding to customer needs and demands, and financial stability. This year, a total of 150 brands were featured across 15 industry categories and 45 sub-categories.
